Paul Bryan
Chantry Sound's Director and Producer, Paul Bryan will bring a broad spectrum of musical experience and understanding to your recording.
A music graduate and FRCO, Paul was Director of Music at St John's College Choir School, Cambridge for over twenty years. Having had particular responsibility for the musical education of the world-famous choristers, he had the fortune to work alongside such luminaries in the choral world as Dr George Guest and Dr Christopher Robinson. Paul also formed and conducted the Walmisley Singers and the Cambridge Pro Musica Orchestra who regularly performed and recorded in the College Chapel.
As a Concert Organist, Paul has performed widely both in this country and abroad in countries as diverse as Norway and South Africa, and he has given recitals in many of this country's major Cathedrals and concert venues. Paul is currently Organist to the Ely Cathedral Octagon Singers where he greatly enjoys playing the famous Harrison organ.
Paul has over ninety works for choir and solo organ published worldwide by companies such as Animus, Banks, Hope Publishing and the RSCM.
Paul was awarded first prize in St Paul's Cathedral's International Millennium Hymn Competition. The hymn was first performed during the National Service of Celebration in St Paul's Cathedral on January 2nd 2000, after which Paul was presented to Her Majesty. The hymn tune, titled St. Paul's Cathedral has been widely performed, and has found its way into many recent hymn books.
Since 2000, Paul has been piano accompanist for the soprano Kate Woolf, and they perform extensively together throughout the UK.
