Thomas Bryan
Chantry Sound's Co-Director and Lead Engineer, Thomas Bryan, brings a rich variety of recording industry and musical experience to the company.
After gaining an honours degree in Creative Music Technology, he spent two years engineering in London's Smokehouse Studio, operating the capital's largest mixing desk and being involved in a vast range of recording projects. This was followed by an intense period of work for Universal Records, archiving and restoring classic recordings on audio tape from the 1930s to the 1990s.
Apart from classical recordings for Chantry Sound, Thomas has been assistant engineer for Film Scores (Son of Rambow, Penelope), Bands (The Kooks, Level 42, Jack Bruce, Robin Trower) and Soundtracks (Daphne, Clash of the Santas).
Thomas is now based in Bristol, working as a freelance recording, post production and mastering Audio Engineer. In his spare time, he plays bass guitar in Bristol's premier cover band, Three Scots and a Barman.
